Join the fun! All schools, after school, and other "Not for Profit" community youth organizations in the Greater Washington DC area including (including Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and West Virginia) serving ages K-12 can participate.

The Tournament will consist of teams of eight students in grades K-12 plus a teacher/coach, divided into 3 divisions as follows: Div 1 - Elementary Grades K-5; Div 2 - Middle School Grades 6-8; and Div 3 - High School Grades 9-12. The teams will be competing to collectively solve 25 Rubik's Cubes. One team per Division per school. Divisions are determined by the oldest team member on the team (excluding the teacher/coach). Hence, if you are a K-12 school entering one team only, and the oldest team member is in 12th grade and the youngest in 5th grade, this team would compete in Division 3. Alternatively, a K-12 school could enter a team in each division.

All teams will compete in one of the Preliminary Tournaments to be held on Wednesday, April 11 at the Fort Belvoir Army Base, VA or Wednesday, April 25 and Thursday, April 26, 2012 at the National Electronics Museum, Baltimore, MD. The top six teams in each division will advance to the Grand Final to be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012, as part of the USA Science & Engineering Festival Expo. Exact location and times to be announced soon. The Final will be followed by the Awards Ceremony.
